If there's a shop within the Strand Arcade worthy of the title 'institution', it's rather unassuming one on the ground floor that's been serving up seasonal nuts, handmade chocolate and indulgent treats since 1939. The Nut Shop is a family business - currently in its fourth generation - that's welcomed customers from all over the world with open arms and freshly made products. We spoke with Dan Mendels about carrying on the family legacy , and what it means to call the Strand Arcade home for so many decades.
