Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these conditions of entry. Entry is only open to residents of New South Wales only. Directors, management, employees (and their immediate families) of the Promoter (IPOH Ltd The Strand Suite 303, 412-414 George St, Sydney NSW 2000) and their respective related corporate bodies and agencies associated with this promotion are not eligible to enter this promotion.
1. The promotion runs from 6:00pm (AEST) 16th August 2011 and concludes on 16th August 2011 at 10:00pm (AEST).
2. During the promotional period, The Strand Arcade guests are offered the chance to win 2 upper class return tickets to Hong Kong from Virgin Atlantic, AUD $3,000 on a Commonwealth Bank Travel Money Card, courtesy of MasterCard and AUD $2,000 towards accommodation.
3. How to enter: To enter, customers must complete the entry form and lodge at the entry booth on level 1 or the ground floor. To claim the prize, the winner must produce a receipt that details a purchase of $150 or more at a Strand Arcade retailer between 6:00pm and 10:00pm on August 16th. Entrants must agree to join the Strand Society database or be an existing member of the Strand Society. One entry is permitted per transaction.
4. Prize details and conditions: There is one prize, with a total prize value of $18,000. The winner will receive 2 Upper Class tickets to Hong Kong from Virgin Atlantic, AUD $3,000 on a Commonwealth Bank Travel Money Card, courtesy of MasterCard, and AUD $2,000 towards accommodation from The Strand Arcade.
Virgin Atlantic flights:
All travel must be completed by 19th February 2012. Seats are subject to availability. Virgin Atlantic reserves the right to offeran alternative date of travel when the preferred choice is not available. The prize will be invalid without the original prize letter. The prize is valid for yourself and a companion travelling together in both directions. The flights can only be booked a minimum of 3 weeks prior to departure.Valid on Virgin Atlantic services only over the specified routing and in the class of travel stated. Tickets are non-transferable and non-endorsable for travel on any other airline. The prize will be forfeited for any breach of these conditions or any unlawful use of the Contra. The travel period cannot be extended beyond the expiry date. Once the tickets have been issued they are valid only for the flights/dates shown. Limousine transfers are not permitted with these tickets. Frequent Flyer points cannot be accrued on these tickets. Virgin Atlantic highly recommends you take out travel insurance due to unforeseen circumstances that may arise. Tickets are confirmed travel however this is subject to off load in an over sale situation. Please note departures in peak travel periods may not be available. e.g Easter Christmas, School Holidays, Special Events. Tickets are subject to Virgin Atlantic's standard terms and conditions available at www.virginatlantic.com.au. All relevant taxes and surcharges are payable by the prize winner.
Commonwealth Bank Travel Money Card:
The prize: $3,000 Australian Dollars which will be loaded onto a Commonwealth Bank Travel Money Card, courtesy of MasterCard. MasterCard and/or The Commonwealth Bank will contact the prize winner in the week commencing 22 August 2011.The winner will need to provide the Commonwealth Bank with personal information and acceptable identification, as well as accept the Travel Money Card Product Disclosure Statement and Conditions of Use, before receiving their Commonwealth Bank Travel Money Card. Winners must claim their Travel Money Card from a nominated Commonwealth Bank branch by 19 February 2012. In the event that the winner cannot provide suitable personal information and acceptable identification, the winner will forfeit the prize in whole and no substitute will be offered. Prizes cannot be transferred, exchanged or redeemed for cash. In the event that a winner does not take the prize as offered at the time stipulated, then the prize will be forfeited and cash will not be awarded in lieu of the prize. Prizes must be taken as offered and cannot be varied. Any unused portion of the prize is not-transferable, non-refundable and non-redeemable for other goods or services and cannot be taken as cash. This applies equally to prizes and alternate prizes, if any. Any taxes (other than GST, if any) which may be payable as a consequence of the winner receiving this prize are the sole responsibility of the winner. Accommodation must be booked through Flight Centre. Flight Centre will contact the winner to arrange the accommodation booking. Accommodation must be completed by 19th February 2012. Accommodation costs will be paid up to the value of $2000. Any unused portion of the prize is not-transferable, non-refundable and non-redeemable for other goods or services and cannot be taken as cash.
5. Selection of prize winner: The winner will be randomly selected from the valid entries received. The draw will take place at place on 19th August at 10am at IPOH Pty Ltd at The Strand Level 3 Suite 303, 412-414 George St, Sydney, NSW 2000. The winner must be over 18 years old. Before the prize is awarded, the Promoter reserves the right to request the age, identity and residency at the nominated prize delivery address. Identification considered suitable for verification is at the discretion of the Promoter. The winner will be notified via phone and email.
6. The result of the draw is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
7. The Promoter reserves the right to redraw in the event of an entrant being unable to satisfy these terms and conditions or not claiming a prize. If any prize remains unclaimed as at 3 months from the date of the draw, a second chance draw will be conducted by the Promoter at the same place as the original draw at 13:00 (AEST) on Wednesday 19th December, 2011, subject to any written direction given under applicable law. The unclaimed prize draw winner will be notified by phone on Thursday 20th December, 2011.
8. The prize must be taken as stated and no compensation will be payable if a winner is unable to use the prize as stated. Prizes are not exchangeable or redeemable for other goods or services. Prizes cannot be transferred to any other person without the consent of the Promoter. If a winner is unable to satisfy these terms and conditions, the prize will be forfeited by the winner. If the Prize is unavailable, for whatever reason, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize for a prize of equal or greater value.
9. By redeeming the prize, the winner agrees that the Promoter and their related bodies corporate and their respective officers, employees and agents will not be liable for any loss, damage or personal injury whatever (including but not limited to direct, indirect and consequential loss) suffered or sustained in connection with the use of the prize, except for liability which cannot be excluded by law.
10. The Promoter is not responsible for any lost, late, incorrectly entered or misdirected entries. The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and to disqualify any entrant who tampers with the entry process or who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these terms and conditions.
11. The Promoter is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any email or entry to be received by the Promoter on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website or telecommunication systems, or any combination thereof.
12. In the case of the intervention of any outside agent or event which naturally changes the result or prevents or hinders its determination, including but not limited to vandalism, power failures, tempests, natural disasters, acts of God, civil unrest, strikes, the Promoter may in its absolute discretion delay the promotion or parts of the promotion so effected. Arrangements regarding recommencement of the promotion or parts of the promotion will be publicly advertised.
13. The prize winner must, on request by the Promoter, be able to provide evidence which, to the reasonable satisfaction of the Promoter, demonstrates that the winner is an eligible entrant and has complied with these Terms and Conditions.
14. All entries and any copyright subsisting in the entries become and remain the property of the Promoter. The Promoter collects personal information about entrants to include entrants in the promotion and where appropriate award prizes. If the personal information requested is not provided, the entrant may not participate in the promotion. By participating in the promotion, each entrant also acknowledges that a further primary purpose for collection of entrants' personal information by the Promoter is to enable the Promoter to use the information to assist the Promoter in improving goods and services and to contact entrants in the future with information on special offers or provide entrants with marketing materials via any medium including mail, telephone and commercial electronic messages. The Promoter may share information with its Australian related companies or promotional partners who may contact entrants in this way with special offers. By entering the promotion, each entrant agrees that the Promoter may use entrants' personal information in this manner.
